17th January 1962 marked the beginning of a new era for the Steel city Jamshedpur, and the Telco employees in particular. It was on this day that the vision and untiring efforts of Father M.F.Kavanagh, S.J., of the U.S.A. bore fruit and Little Flower School was born. Since that historic day, L.F.S. has advanced along the path of success and fame.Sisters of Mercy from Philadelphia took over the management of Little Flower School and in November 1962 Sister Mary Thomasina joined as Principal and Sister Virginia Mary as Vice Principal of L.F.S. After Sister Virginia Mary's departure in 1968, Mrs. G.Peacocke became the Vice Principal of the school.

 

 

Schools are the training grounds for the citizens of tomorrow. To ensure that Indians have a space in the global platform, we need to nurture and promote innovation in thinking. Children must be encouraged to think through a problem and come up with creative solutions and this must be ably supplemented with technological progress. Finally, the future lies in the hands of individuals who are ready to learn all through their lives.The understanding and acknowledgment of this fact alone by all the stake-holders in the education sector, i.e. parent, child and teacher will bring about commitment and qualitative change in the teaching-learning process.
